International Summer Ballet Workshop Estonia is proud to present. He is one of the main course teachers and choreographers with top experince in ballet and contemporary dance, acting as a free lance guest teacher from the 2013. During the last 7 years Lode Devos worked as Director and Choreographer at the Ballet Chemnitz, Opera Ballet School, while earning in 2007 German dance Prize.
In 2003-2005 Lode was active in Ballet Tiroler Landestheater Innsbruck, as Co- Director & Choreographer from the 2004.
Lode Devos outstanding ballet career was during the last years bound with the best ballet names and organizations as European Youth Ballett School (Alexander Hoffman), Havoc Dance Cie, MIXED PICKLES Köln.
His well- known teaching experience is more than 10 years long, where main projects are bound with Ballet Chemnitz, Ballet Tiroler Landestheater Innsbruck, Komische Oper Berlin, Ballet Preljocaj, Iceland Dance Company, Centre de Danse et d´études Chorégraphiques Guadeloupe, Codarts Rotterdam, Tanz-Forum-Köln, Instituto del Teatro Barcelona, Ballet Staatstheater Schwerin, Ballet Coburg, Ballett Staatstheater Cottbus, Escuela de Danza de Navarra.
As a choreographer, Lode was active from the year 1987 till now, working with the main ballet theatres in the world.
Lode Devos education started in 1971 from Sint-Amands College Kortrijk, Belgium, prolonging with the Royal Ballet Conservatory (Kortrijk), Classical Vaganova Technique and Modern Graham. Starting from 1985 till 1987, he has got a degree in classical (Vaganova) & modern dance (Graham, Jooss) from State School for Dance Pedagogy, Antwerp.
